In ‘prove yourself’ society we have to prove our value over and over and over. There’s always something wrong. (Unlike premodern times where your authority figure was ‘over there’, that nagging voice now rides along in your head.)

In ‘The Event’ within the christianity story, everything changes as we see the authority figure’s disappearance into the world. Full surrender into the material. This revelation of rebellious surrender into ‘Is-ness’ now stands as authority. Toe to toe with compassion.
